RARE Disney Snow Globe Fantasia Dance of the Hours Hippo Gator Musical Rotates

As far as snow globes go, this one has it all. It is called “Dance of the Hours”, from the segment of the same name in the Disney movie Fantasia and features Hyacinth Hippo & Ben Ali Gator. Hyacinth is a dancer in the movie and whirls and twirls around her rather ample body. An unlikely couple, she falls in love with Ben Ali Gator. This snow globe celebrates their romance with some special features. It is not just a snow globe. It is also musical and when wound plays music from Swan Lake. But the extra special feature here is that it also has a double rotation, 2 movements! When wound Hyacinth Hippo gracefully twirls in a circle around the snow globe but she is not alone because Ben Ali Gator dances with her and twirls around INSIDE the snow globe! Even the method of winding is unique and achieved by rotating Hyacinth herself backward and then letting her go. Music starts, everyone dances. And they twirl at different rates which really enhances the experience. A unique and extra special Disney snow globe. Hyacinth runs a very close second to Mickey himself for favorite characters of the film. Overall size is 9 1/2″ tall x 8 1/2″ wide. The base is beautifully draped with flowers and garland. Hyacinth wears her signature and significant yellow tutu. Even the snow globe itself is a double globe with glittery sparkling’snow. I believe it is’retired’. And this one is in mint condition and comes with the original fitted Styrofoam box. Would make an excellent Christmas present for a Disney or snow globe fancier.
